If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom — go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!
Today’s Quote: Samuel Adams (the man, not the beer)

Wow!
Wow!
Kim: Gives you chills, doesn’t it.
It’s one of my favorites!!
Here’s another quote – this guy was incredible!!
“He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of his country who tries most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man…The sum of all is, if we would most truly enjoy this gift of Heaven, let us become a virtuous people.”
great quote.
Me thinketh there are many hand (I mean boot) lickers controlling the main stream media outlets.
DM: I agree 1000%. What troubles me is that there may be a huge number of them among the populace as well…..
I love to lick the hand which feeds me. That’s why it has to be MY hand doing the job. (Technically, I probably qualify for disability, but my own standards are much more stringent than the government’s – I did it, LC!! My husband helped, but I did it, too. I peeled myself off the floor and did my part to get my vacancy rented without missing a payday! I feel fortunate to live somewhere where I was able to find a way to create my own ‘job’ when I could no longer abide by the constraints of those offered by others. To me, this is freedom. Let’s hope that doesn’t get destroyed in all the current mess.)
EH: You rock! You are such an inspiration –
Let freedom ring, baby!!
Fantastic quote. I wonder how many in our socialist-leaning society see that there is a problem here. Good doggies…
Karen: Welcome! Good question, too….
